The architecture of India is well known all over the world and is blended with its ancient culture and tradition. Here I would like to list 10 of the most amazing temples in south India, if not in that order. There might be many other beautiful Temples which might miss the list, but I have picked the top 10 that I have visited.

Dedicated to the Lord Krishna, this temple is said to be around 1000 years old and its deity more than 5000 years old. The temple conducts record number of marriage ceremonies and regarded as the most sacred of the Hindu temples in south India.

Sabarimala Sri Dharmasastha Temple, in recent years turned out to be the most famous and most visited temple in Kerala, dedicated exclusively to the Lord Ayyappa. Pilgrims throng this temple located on the Sahyadri Mountains in large numbers every year, during the months from November to January.

People from all over the world visit this temple and many of the devotees prefer to climb the hill by steps to pay obeisance to the Lord Venkateswara, though temple runs buses up the hill. This temple is exclusively built in Dravidian style.

Rameshwaram is a small island off the coast of Tamil Nadu, located at the tip of the Indian Penninsula. It's connected to the mainland by one of the longest bridges in India - actually there are now separate bridges for cars and trains. Rameshwaram holds a special place in Hindu mythology as it's where Lord Rama built a bridge across the sea to rescue Sita from the clutches of the demon Ravana, in Sri Lanka. The most important temple on the island, which is also one of India's most worshiped temples, is the Ramananthswamy Temple. Its special feature is the longest hallway in India. There are hundreds of pillars with detailed carvings. The lost land of Dhanushkodi, at the eastern end of the island, is also a must-see. These temple show the amazing culture of india.
